Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Swiss Type/Bar fed CNC Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and optimizing production processes on Hanwha, Tsugami, and Miyano bar lathes. You will research and specify tooling, create and edit CNC programs, and ensure efficient and stable production to maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
•Set up, operate, and program CNC Swiss & Barfed lathes for short production runs.
•Change fixtures, select tooling, and adjust programs as needed.
•Develop, test, and verify new machining processes.
•Refine and optimize existing processes for improved efficiency and performance.
•Operate bar-fed automatic lathes as needed to maintain production schedules.
•Conduct inspections and document part quality to ensure compliance with specifications.
•Adjust tool offsets and wear compensation to maintain part tolerances.
•Train colleagues to meet production needs and improve team capabilities.
Qualifications
•5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC Swiss Type Lathes.
•3+ years of experience editing CNC programs.
•3+ years of experience with Hanwha, Tsugami, or Miyano CNC machines.
•3+ years of experience using Fanuc CNC controls.
•Strong ability to write CNC G-code programs without CAM software.
•Proficient in using hand measuring tools and gauges (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.).
•Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, including full GD&T.
•Proficient with MasterCAM software.
•Solid experience in quality inspection and part documentation.
•Experience with solid modeling is required.
