- Hexagon/PC-DMIS expertise is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Strong experience with manual inspection tools (micrometers, bore gages, calipers, optical comparator).
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T on complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills with other departments.
- Programming CMM Equipment:
Develop and write CMM programs using (Hexagon-PC-DMIS) to automate the measurement of parts, ensuring accurate data collection based on blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications.
- Conducting Inspections:
Operate CMMs and other metrology tools to perform precise inspections to prepare and create (1st piece, In-process & Final Inspection reports) on products, components, and prototypes, verifying dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze measurement data, interpret results against engineering drawings, and generate detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for corrective actions or process adjustments.
- Non-conformances:
Document, review, monitor, and disposition nonconformances.
- Developing Quality Control Plans:
Create and implement inspection procedures, test plans, and certification methods to support production and ensure compliance with industry standards like ISO or AS9100.
- Fixture and Gage Design Input:
Provide technical input on the design of fixtures, gages, and tools to facilitate effective CMM measurements, considering GD&T principles and accessibility.
- Training and Support:
Cross-train quality team members with existing CMM knowledge to operate, program, and best practices for inspections to ensure the production department has full support for 1st and 2nd shift.
