Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Clerical Administrative Assistant for a short-term assignment (3 to 6 months) to support our Human Resources department. This role is critical in helping us organize and manage sensitive HR records and systems. Responsibilities include downloading and organizing employee data from SilkRoad and preparing physical and digital files for shredding or scanning in accordance with company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
•Retrieve and download employee data and reports from SilkRoad HRIS.
•Organize, categorize, and maintain digital files for HR processing and auditing purposes.
•Review and expunge outdated or unnecessary physical HR files following company retention policies.
•Prepare files for secure shredding or digital scanning, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
•Support HR team members with general clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
•Maintain confidentiality of employee information and handle records securely.
Required Skills & Abilities:
•Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PDF management tools.
•Comfortable navigating systems and file management platforms (SilkRoad experience is a plus).
•High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
•Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
•Strong time management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
•Office-based with some file room tasks requiring light lifting (up to 25 lbs.).
•May involve occasional movement around the facility, including standing or walking short distances.
•Use of standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and shredders.
