Job Description:

Carbon Direct is looking for a full-time year-round tri-axle driver. This position will be based out of our garage in Cresson, PA. Primarily hauling waste lime from Graymont to our mining operations in Cresson, and waste coal to our power plants in Ebensburg.

The work schedule is usually from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Our drivers are home every night and do not work night shift. There will be occasional extended hours and weekend work. The ideal driver will have previous experience operating a tri-axle and a clean MVR. Drivers are responsible for care and maintenance, and occasionally drivers will have to help mechanics repair the truck fleet.

Minimum Qualifications:

•

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English

•

Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

•

Must possess minimum valid Class B PA Commercial Driver’s License with no air brake restrictions.

•

Ability to operate tri-axle safely and efficiently on and off road.

Preferred Qualifications:

•

MSHA Training

•

Class A PA Commercial Driver’s License

•

Experience working a mining/industrial environment

Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

•

Work is performed in and around mine or plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes, or airborne particles

•

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms

•

May be required to work a non-standard schedule which may include extended shifts, or weekends

•

Company provided personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required

Hourly rate of pay dependent on competency, experience, qualifications, and skills

Pay: $22.00 - $23.68 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
