Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and excellent driving skills. Experience with different types of trucks, including flatbed, tanker, and refrigerated trailers, is highly valued.

Duties

- Operate various types of trucks including flatbed, tanker, and tractor-trailer to transport freight.

- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.

- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents encountered during transport.

- Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues on the road.

- Ensure proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit.

- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.

- Must be able to tarp and strap when required.

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.

- Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.

- Familiarity with route driving and freight handling procedures.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.

- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading/unloading processes.

- Prior experience in delivery driving or freight transportation is preferred but not mandatory.
