Position Summary:
The Operations Manager will lead daily field operations for civil construction projects within the power utility sector, ensuring jobs are delivered on time, on budget, and to safety and quality standards. This role involves managing field teams, overseeing multiple scopes (earthwork, concrete, asphalt), and driving project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage 4–5 direct reports and up to 30 indirect field personnel.
•Coordinate project budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
•Lead project execution across multiple crews and civil scopes.
•Ensure field compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.
•Work closely with estimators, project teams, and field supervisors.
•Support subcontractor oversight, materials management, and reporting.
Qualifications:
•7–10 years of civil construction experience, preferably in utility projects.
•3–5 years in a supervisory or operations management role.
•Strong understanding of earthwork, asphalt, and concrete operations.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, and general scheduling tools.
•Degree in Construction Management preferred but not required.

•Calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and highly organized.
•Strong communicator and team leader with a hands-on approach.
•Willingness to travel within Arizona (and occasionally surrounding states).
Work Environment:
Primarily field-based with occasional office work. Must be comfortable around heavy equipment and job site environments.
