As a
Civil Engineer

Responsibilities•Analyze available data and regulatory requirements to determine the feasibility of potential projects
•Assist the management team with the preparation of scope of services and fee estimation for potential projects
•Perform project due diligence research of permitting agency requirements for local, state and federal agency permitting.
•Under the direction of the management team, prepare project designs and work with the Project Manager to move projects from conceptual design, through preliminary engineering design, and final engineering design and permitting.
•Work with project CAD Designers to produce project plans from concept through final design/permitting.
•Assist the Project Manager in the preparation and modification of calculations, construction cost estimates, reports, specifications and bid documents for projects.
•Assist with review of contractor submittals, RFI responses and Pay Application reviews.
•Participate in project close-out efforts with the project team.
Requirements
•Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
•Minimum Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification required
•Minimum 2 years of experience in land development civil engineering for public and/or private sector projects.
•Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required
•Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written, and the ability to function well in a team environment.
•Ability to work on multiple assignments under the direction of the Office Leader and Project Manager.
Preferred Land Development/Municipal Experience:
· Experience working with a variety of development and design projects.
· Knowledge of site grading, drainage, stormwater, water and sewer design concepts.
· Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and ICPR 4.
· Knowledge and comprehension of local, state, and federal permitting requirements.
