About This Job

We are searching for a Civil Engineer E&C on behalf of our client. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. (W-2) This scope of work for this civil engineering position includes overseeing and contributing to large-scale wind projects. As a project engineer, this person will be responsible for providing civil expertise, with a focus on evaluating project drawings and handling requests for information (RFIs) across multiple projects. Project Overview includes Large Projects near Siebert, CO; Two large wind facilities, which have started construction. The person should have 2-3 years renewable generation project experience and should be willing/able to travel to the site.

This will be a Hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely and in the field at the facilities where the construction is taking place which would require travel. The person will be working on wind facilities near Siebert, CO.

This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. (W-2)

Mon & Fri: remote. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in the office or field.

Day to Day:

•

A typical day for this civil engineering position will vary based on the project activities.

•

Submittals and RFI’s will focus on collaborating with other engineers and project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are clearly outlined.

•

Typical submittal activities include evaluating drawings, studies, and analyses. These activities will involve reviewing the technical documentation to confirm that everything aligns with the project specifications and requirements.

•

For construction activities, the day will be more in-person, assisting team members by addressing any civil engineering-related questions they may have about the project.

•

This could include clarifying details about the design or construction process and troubleshooting any issues that arise on-site.

•

The overall responsibilities will vary from planning/reviewing to providing direct support during the construction.

•

The person should have knowledge of how to resolve RFI’s and non-conformance requests. This resource will work with our other engineers on the project to be able to understand/interpret design drawings and managing the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and managing RFI requests.

Requirements:

•

The person should have a bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited school or strong/commensurate experience.

•

9+ years of civil engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design).

•

The person should have very strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical [thinking] skills to resolve answering questions, troubleshooting design conflicts, etc.

•

Organization is key in this role as they will be interfacing with several different teams, tracking and documenting.

•

The person should have knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs, and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.

•

It is expected that the resource be onsite at least 2-3 days per week during construction. It is preferred that this person be close to the project area.
