The Engineering Services Group is seeking to hire a full-time CADD/Engineering Technician. You’ll be working with a growing group on a diverse variety of projects. On any given day, you’ll:
•Produce drawings and construction plans (e.g. general civil, roadway, site development, and utility design) using a CADD workstation.
•Analyze sketches, notes, and engineer input to determine the best approach to complex drawings.
•Calculate quantities, dimensions, grades, and computations related to design.
•Provide input to ongoing development and achieve compliance with drafting and plan standards.
•Construction observation for various municipal and transportation construction projects may be part of job responsibilities.
Required qualifications:
•Enrolled in or have a technical degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience. Candidates with a four-year civil engineering degree will also be considered.
•Proficient in Civil3D/AutoCAD.
•Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
Desired skills and experiences:
•A minimum of one year of experience using CADD in the development of general civil engineering plans and design experience is preferred.
•Familiarity or experience with GIS.
•Experience in municipal, county, or DOT civil design and/or drafting.
•Experience in municipal or general construction observation and surveying beneficial.
•Experience in OpenRoads Designer.
