As Civil Designer IV, you will be responsible for providing essential technical support, creating comprehensive designs, and ensuring compliance with project requirements while working in collaboration with engineers, architects, and other professionals. The Designer is expected to employ computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and modify project plans and use their experience to solve problems, pay attention to detail, and apply your in-depth understanding of civil engineering principles and industry best practices. Your extensive experience in civil engineering design will be instrumental in driving innovation and achieving project goals. Additionally, you will be engaged to participate in project scoping, planning, status reporting and scope management.
· Provides computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, vendor data, and sketches
· Coordinates and consults with engineers or other designers to complete projects, ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards
· Support equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables
· Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities
· Present design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders
· Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements
· Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule
· Supports proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required
· Prepares, reviews, and approves foundation, structural steel, building, and earthwork BOMs and designs
· Bachelor's or associate's degree or equivalent preferred
· Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal
· Proficient in both written and spoken English
