Oversees all tax compliance, accounting, and audit function activities. Manages all internal and external Federal, State and Indirect tax compliance resources. Consults on the impact of tax compliance operations with corporate strategic plans. Partners with CAO and CFO to develop tax strategic planning. Manages development of performance goals/objectives and measurements, and designs tax operation systems and processes.
Key Accountabilities
•Design systems and processes to deliver full compliance with Federal, state and local laws for DTM, its affiliates and related organizations.
•Develop strong relationships with customer and information supplier management teams.
•Deliver accurate and timely accounting for the tax effects of corporate activities, communication of tax information to internal customers, including senior management, to government auditors and to other interested parties.
•Deliver successful tax audits with minimum exposure to additional taxes; responsible for corporate records that satisfy all tax audit record retention requirements.
•Manage resources to create maximum value through organization design and cost-benefit analyses of resource alternatives; creates value in the form of tax savings from the compliance, accounting, audit and planning process;
•Create and deliver performance goals/objectives and training consistent with direction of corporate strategy and applicable tax requirements.
•Ensure the tax compliance management team is capable of working across functional lines to deliver tax accounting, compliance, audit and planning objectives.
•Facilitate and promote continuous process improvement and performance goals for staff that drive continuous improvement in the accounting, compliance, and planning process.
•May perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
•A CPA or law degree from an accredited college or university
•10 years experience in the tax field for public corporate clientele, including minimum 7 years of leadership and experience with ASC 740
Preferred:
•Advanced degree in taxation or MBA strongly preferred
•Mix of Big 4 and energy industry experience

•Successfully can build teams and systems that comply with all tax laws and meet corporate tax information needs.
•Competently manage customer relationships, tax compliance, accounting and audit requirements for multiple areas of taxation, the performance of tax duties by tax professionals, knowledge assets, training and other support systems for employees, tax systems and technology, and continuous process improvement.
