Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions North America, LLC is looking for a Chief Engineer in Cleveland, OH
The Chief Engineer will design, analyze and specify mechanical components and systems to support and improve existing and/or new rock processing tools, equipment and products.
- Analyze equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design for mechanical and hydraulic construction tool attachments for rock crushing, screening and breaking equipment used in mining, construction, and demolition activities.
- Prepare engineering documentation to support product design and manufacture for HoPac compactor driver attachments and brackets to meet organizational and customer needs.
- Assist in resolving manufacturing problems and product quality deficiencies for rock crushing and breaking equipment.
- Redesign current product portfolio for mechanical and hydraulic construction attachments, improve manufacturability for attachment tools, and meet market requirements in North America and globally.
- Implement the globalization of the HoPac product from an engineering perspective.
- Support the localization of other rock processing tool attachment products from an engineering perspective.
- Provide technical engineering support to other departments and customers.
- Meet with customers and vendors regarding product requirements.
- Ensure that product designs for mining and construction equipment meet high quality requirements and performance standards.
- Take engineering ownership of the North American managed product portfolio for HoPac compactor drivers and bracket attachments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering and three (3) years of experience as R&D Engineer or Product Development Engineer.
- The required three (3) years of experience must have included performing research, design and development for mechanical and hydraulic tools and crushing solutions used for mining, rock processing, and crushing. May telecommute from home within the Cleveland, OH metropolitan statistical area (MSA ) up to two (2) days per week.
