Votre Impact
•
Proposer, contribuer et diriger des projets de R-D impliquant l’interaction humaine avec les ordinateurs, les logiciels, l’automatisation, les processus industriels, les systèmes complexes, l’intelligence artificielle ou des sujets connexes appliqués aux systèmes énergétiques.
•
Collaborer avec une équipe mondiale de chercheurs et d’ingénieurs des unités d’affaires d’Hitachi Energy afin d’identifier et résoudre les défis concrets de nos clients en transposant vos résultats de recherche dans la fonctionnalité de produit ou de service.
•
Concevoir, définir, formuler, valider et développer de nouvelles technologies interactives intelligentes pertinentes pour la technologie d’énergie électrique, l’automatisation des contrôles, l’analyse, la visualisation de l’information, le soutien à la décision ou l’intelligence artificielle
•
Créer un réseau au sein de l’entreprise et diffusez activement vos connaissances et votre expertise.
•
Collaborer avec des partenaires externes locaux et mondiaux, notamment des universités, des communautés open source, des entreprises en démarrage et des fournisseurs.
•
Diffuser les résultats dans des publications scientifiques, des demandes de brevet et des rapports techniques.
Votre expérience
•
Les étudiants exceptionnels à la maîtrise qui possède de l’expérience en recherche sont invités à poser leur candidature.
•
Compréhension approfondie des théories relatives à l'interaction humaine avec les systèmes automatisés et intelligents (par exemple, travail d'équipe, confiance, conscience situationnelle)
•
Compréhension approfondie des probabilités, des statistiques et de la conception expérimentale
•
Connaissance et expérience des méthodes de recherche qualitative et quantitative sur des sujets humains
•
Connaissance du cycle de vie de la conception des produits et de l'expérience utilisateur, et compréhension de l'applicabilité des méthodes de recherche à chaque phase
•
Une expérience dans le prototypage et la mise en œuvre d'interfaces utilisateur frontales est requise. Une bonne connaissance de Python, JavaScript ou C# est souhaitable.
•
Une connaissance de l'interaction des utilisateurs avec les modèles d'IA et des limites des technologies de pointe est souhaitable.
•
Une compréhension des principes de conception de la visualisation pour les données à haute dimension ou les systèmes techniques est souhaitable.
•
Une expérience dans l'un des domaines suivants est pertinente : analyse de systèmes complexes, identification d'occasions d'intervention et communication de celles-ci ; définition d'exigences orientées utilisateur dans les systèmes techniques ; expérience professionnelle avec ou dans des systèmes industriels ou d'infrastructure.
•
Excellentes compétences en communication, esprit d'équipe, initiative, leadership et créativité souhaités.
•
Maîtrise de l'anglais, à l'écrit comme à l'oral.

We are looking for a research scientist with expertise in Human-Computer Interaction for our research center in Montreal, Canada. As a scientist in the global Hitachi Energy Research organization, you will propose and lead cutting edge research projects to push the boundaries of knowledge and technology for Hitachi Energy's future products and services.
How You’ll Make An Impact
•
Propose, contribute to and lead R&D projects involving human interaction with computers, software, automation, industrial processes, complex systems, artificial intelligence or related topics applied to energy systems.
•
Collaborate with a global team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy business units to identify and solve real-world challenges for our customers by transferring your research results into product or service functionality.
•
Envision, define, formulate, validate, and develop novel interactive intelligent technologies relevant to electric power technology, control automation, analytics, information visualization, decision support, or artificial intelligence
•
Network in the company and actively distribute your knowledge and expertise.
•
Collaborate with local and global external partners including universities, open-source communities, startups and vendors.
•
Disseminate your results in scientific publications, patent applications, and technical reports.
Your background
•
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Psychology, or a related field. Exceptional Masters’ students with research experience welcome to apply.
•
Thorough understanding of theories of human interaction with automated and intelligent systems (e.g. teaming, trust, situation awareness)
•
Thorough understanding of probability, statistics, and experimental design
•
Knowledge and experience in human-subjects research methods both qualitative and quantitative
•
Knowledge of the product and user experience design lifecycle and understanding of research method applicability to each phas
•
Experience with front-end user interface prototyping and implementation is required. Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or C# is preferred
•
Knowledge of user interaction with ‘AI’ models and limitations of the state-of-the-art is preferred
•
Understanding of visualization design principles for high-dimensional data or technical systems is preferred
•
Experience in any of the following is relevant: Analyzing complex systems, identifying opportunities for intervention, and communicating them; Defining user-oriented requirements in technical systems; Work experience with or in industrial or infrastructure systems.
•
Excellent communication skills. Team player attitude, initiative, leadership and creativity valued.
•
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
