The Chemical Mixing Plant Manager will be responsible for the team that safely maintains and operates all mixing plant equipment and will be responsible for the rig up and rig down processes and moving the equipment between locations. Must have experience running mixing plant coil tubing and stick pipe drill outs and have demonstrated experience and understanding of fluids and chemicals compatibilities. This position supervises the chemical mixing plant operators, and will work closely with the Operations Manager, HSE / HR teams, to ensure that all responsibilities meet or exceed customer and compliance requirements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
•Responsible for daily planning, direction and execution of rig up and rig down fluid mixing plant on coil tubing unit, stick pipe drill outs or workover rig locations and manages service and maintenance on all mixing plant equipment.
•Knows and understands the fluids and chemicals compatibilities, and how to rig up mixing plant to coil tubing pump trucks; mix chemicals to downhole pressures.
•Communicate with coil unit or rig crews to use correct chemical quantities depending on well conditions.
•Completes rig up and rid down of all equipment associated with mixing plant operations.
•Understands hazardous materials, job, wash up and discharge procedures and ensures compliance with Axis Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, guidelines and regulations, promoting safety awareness and environmental consciousness.
•Performs other duties as assigned by operations management.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
•Bachelor’s degree and five (5) plus years related oilfield and management experience, or combination of education and experience in oil field services.
•8+ years of experience in running a mixing plant coil tubing and stick pipe drill outs with an oilfield service company. Experience across multiple oil field service lines and geographies is a plus
•Solid experience in rig execution, service delivery and crew scheduling
•Knowledge and understanding of fluids and chemicals compatibilities.
•Demonstrated business acumen and ability to drive customer service delivery, with safety of our employees as a priority
•Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
•Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
•Required valid and active Class A CDL in good standing, endorsements a plus.
•Mobility, including entering confined spaces, entering areas by the use of ladders or other access devices up to 15 ft.; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl and walk.
•Must be able to lift to 75 lbs.
•Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written in English.
