Job Summary:
Taylor Diversion Programs (TDP) is seeking a dedicated and skilledChef/Food Service Director to join our TDP program team located in Sheffield, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible to plan, prepare, and cook lunch and dinner for 15 males (ages 14-21) and 5 staff members daily (M-F). He/she will ensure that meals are nutritionally balanced and appropriate for the dietary needs of the group.
Key Responsibilities:
•Food Safety and Sanitation:
•Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including regular sanitizing of surfaces and equipment.
•Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, and assist with ordering and stock management.
Qualifications:
•At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
•Experience in preparing meals for large groups with varying dietary needs
•Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling.
•Ability to prepare and serve meals efficiently under time constraints.
•Ability to communicate clearly and work well as part of a team.
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).
