We are seeking a skilled CFR Engine Technician I to join our team and support our ongoing success.
The Continuous Flow Reactor (CFR) Engine Technician I is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of CFR engines, as well as conducting testing and analysis of products used in the oil and gas industry. The role combines technical engine expertise with a focus on product testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical background and experience in product analysis to support the company’s quality control efforts.

- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CFR engines, ensuring optimal performance and longevity in oil and gas operations.
- Conduct diagnostics using industry-standard tools to identify mechanical issues with CFR engines and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Assist with the calibration and optimization of CFR engines to meet operational performance standards.
- Conduct product testing for various characteristics such as viscosity, density, chemical composition, and performance under specific conditions.
- Record, analyze, and report test results, identifying trends, anomalies, or areas requiring improvements.
- Ensure testing protocols and procedures are followed according to industry standards (e.g., ASTM, API, ISO).

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate's degree in mechanical engineering, diesel mechanics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in product testing, particularly in the oil and gas sector, is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience working with engines or similar mechanical systems, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of CFR engine systems, internal combustion engines, and related mechanical components.
- Understanding of CFR engine systems, engine diagnostics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing methods and equipment for assessing chemical and physical properties of products.
- Understanding of oil and gas industry regulations and safety standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to learn new software systems and applications specific to the company's internal processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Useful Trade Schools or Certifications:
- CFR Engine Technician Certification or Diesel Engine Technology Certification from a recognized trade school.
- Continuous Flow Reactor (CFR) Engine-Specific Training through the manufacturer or industry-related training programs.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification, particularly in engine repair and diagnostics.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, including engine parts, tools, and product samples.
- Frequent standing, walking, or moving around during engine diagnostics, maintenance, and testing activities.
- Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and laboratory equipment accurately.
- Ability to read technical documents, schematics, and fine print, and distinguish visual details during product testing and engine inspections.
- Exposure to noise, engine fumes, chemicals, and mechanical systems. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, ear protection, and safety footwear is required.
- Ability to work for extended periods in physically demanding conditions, including outdoor environments or confined spaces.
