Certified Medical Assistant or LVN with Dermatology Experience

MEDICAL ASSISTANT OR LVN

Face-paced Dermatology/Cosmetic Surgery office in Laguna Niguel seeking an experienced Medical Assistant or LVN.

Previous dermatology experience required.

An ideal candidate must have Leadership skills. Leads employees to complete job duties, inspires confidence and motivation, and is personable, detail-oriented, efficient under pressure, and a self-starter. The position also requires excellent verbal/written skills. Critical thinking, conflict management, knowledge of clinic and company policies and procedures.

Daily tasks will include assisting the physician with patient care, both medical and cosmetic, transcribing into an EMR, providing patient education, follow-up with patients/pharmacies, and possessing the ability to accurately and efficiently enter medical data into the electronic medical record system.

We are seeking an individual who enjoys working with people, can multitask effectively, and possesses a friendly and outgoing personality. Must have excellent computer/typing skills as well as maintain a sense of responsibility.

Medical Assistant/LVN Responsibilities:

· Understanding of medical terminology

· Knowledge and articulation in discussing products and procedures

· Professional demeanor and attitude

· Natural inclination to take the initiative

· Computer knowledgeable (EMR, Outlook, Excel, Word)

· Punctuality

· Perform quality work within deadlines

· Interact professionally with other employees, patients, and vendors

· Uses skills in planning, organizing, and delegating

· Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Coding

· Transcribing into EMR ( Electronic Medical Records)

· Dermatology Diagnosis/treatments/prescription protocols

· Experience with prescription prior authorizations and patient call backs

· Minimal 3-5 years medical assistance experience required
