Cement Crew

Position Responsibilities

The Cement Crew position is responsible ensuring the safe and efficient execution of cementing operations in water wells. Basic duties include, but are not limited to:

· Assist the water well cementing crew in preparing and mixing cement slurries according to job specifications.

· Assist with the operation and maintenance of well cementing equipment, including pumps, mixing units, valves/piping and bulk transfer systems.

· Help set up and break down the cementing equipment at well sites.

· Maintain cement equipment and associated equipment.

· Follow all safety protocols and procedures during cementing operations.

· Assist with wellbore displacement calculations and record keeping (as needed).

· Work collaboratively with the crew to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.

Job Requirements

· This is an hourly paid position that involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

· This position requires a person to be capable of routinely lifting 50 pounds.

· Job training will be provided for this position.

· Must be able to recognize hazardous conditions, follow company safety policies and practices and engage in a strong safety culture.

· Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

· Applicants must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing as a prerequisite to employment.

Qualifications

· A high school diploma and minimum of 1 year experience in construction or a related field (or willingness to learn).

· A valid driver’s license is preferred.

· Must have the ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team.

· Must have the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and operating equipment.

· Must have the ability to follow standard operating procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
