CDL Truck Driver

Overview

Desoto Line Services is a rapidly growing, full-service EPC firm serving U.S. utilities and other customers. Desoto specializes in electrical construction, gas construction, site access, vegetation management, engineering, and incident and storm response. Desoto Line Services offers a wide array of construction services for the gas utility industry, including the installation, replacement, and maintenance of plastic and steel mains and service lines, meter settings, and regulator stations. We are a minority, woman, and service-disabled veteran-owned company, with corporate offices in Orlando, Florida, servicing customers throughout the United States.

Job summary and expectations:

· Summary: You will be driving one of our 10-14yd dump trucks on a daily basis. Assisting a crew that will be putting in plastic pipe for natural gas distribution. You will also likely operate a backhoe to fill the dump truck with materials to back fill our ditches. We can help teach that.

· Equipment: We operate large dump trucks to small. Run backhoes, skid steers, and excavators also.

Minimum:

· CDL A or B required, other endorsements a plus

· Knowledge of general construction practices

· Experience in general gas operations, tooling, material, and equipment

· Maintain equipment and perform prechecks

· Ability to take clean and decipherable notation

· Obey all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment

Preferred:

· Past experience in natural gas distribution

· Great Attitude

· Effective communication with coworkers, customers, and client

Salary: $25 but could be negotiated with experience and skillset
