CDL Truck Driver – Local & Regional (Tacoma, WA)

Company Overview

Builders Fence Company is a 65+ year family-owned wholesale manufacturer and distributor of fencing and building products with multiple branches across the West Coast. Our Tacoma branch is growing, and we’re looking for reliable CDL Truck Drivers (Class A or B) to join our transportation team.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate CDL truck (flatbed, boom, or box) for local and regional deliveries.

- Haul building materials and fencing products to contractors, job sites, and distribution yards.

- Load, secure, and unload freight (forklift & crane/boom experience a plus).

- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining DOT and company compliance.

- Provide professional, courteous customer service on every delivery.

- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes and schedules

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL). A or B clean driving record

- Minimum 1-year commercial driving experience preferred (flatbed or construction materials a plus).

- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and assist with loading/unloading.

- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws. DOT regulations and local Tacoma/Seattle area routes.

- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.

- Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to safety.
