CDL Class A Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator

Lassiter Taylor Construction is looking to hire an experienced CDL Class A truck driver. The ideal candidate must have a clean driving record and have experience in the construction/grading industry with heavy equipment transportation and operation. The scope of work will generally consist of operating a tri-axle dump truck to transport materials to job sites as well as transport heavy equipment with a tag along trailer. This position could be required to assist as an equipment operator to complete site prep activities, as well. This is a full-time position, working a Monday-Friday work week with potential of overtime (Saturdays, depending on weather and job schedule). All applicants must have reliable transportation to and from work and must be able to pass a drug screen.

Lassiter Taylor Construction generally performs work in Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and Laurens counties. We are not an out-of-town/traveling contractor. The scope of work for our company generally includes grading and storm drainage, with some management responsibilities for other trades.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years CDL Class A experience, including transport of heavy equipment (loading equipment, securing according to DOT standards, etc.)

-Must possess and be able to maintain a clean CDL Class A license

- Must be physically able to perform job duties. ie: must be able to climb in and out of trucks and equipment regularly, on and off trailer, secure loads with chains and binders, etc.

- Operate various types of equipment (such as: skid steer, roller, off road truck, motor grader, trackhoe, bulldozer, etc.) as needed.

- Work to be performed outside in all types of environmental conditions.

- Must have a "SAFETY" mindset, good attitude, reliable, self-motivated, excellent attendance, capable of working at a sustained pace.

- May perform other duties as needed to assist with site prep operations.

- Mechanical aptitude (preferred) - ability to perform normal maintenance on Tri-axle truck and/or heavy equipment
