Georgia Sewer and Storm LLC is a trusted provider of sewer and storm water management services, and we are seeking a skilled Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience operating a dump truck while pulling a trailer, with a focus on transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites. This full-time position involves driving, delivering, loading, and offloading heavy equipment to and from job sites. The successful candidate will also be responsible for picking up and delivering gravel, asphalt, pipe, and other materials to job sites or our office. This role is vital to supporting our construction, repair, and maintenance projects by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of materials and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
•Safely operate a dump truck with a trailer to transport materials, tools, and equipment to sewer and storm water job sites.
•Load, secure, and unload materials such as gravel, soil, pipes, and heavy equipment according to company standards and safety regulations.
•Navigate job sites and roadways, including tight urban environments and construction zones.
•Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and trailer to ensure they are in safe and operational condition.
•Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times.
•Communicate effectively with site supervisors, project managers, and dispatchers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
•Complete and maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and maintenance.
•Assist crews on-site with basic tasks, as needed, to support project goals.
Requirements:
•Experience: MANDATORY 4 years operating a dump truck with a trailer.
•License: Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements.
•Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the last three years.
•Knowledge: Familiarity with sewer and storm water construction materials, job sites, and safety protocols is a plus.
•Strong understanding of DOT regulations and ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
•Willingness to work outside of the truck on job sites.
•Strong work ethic with the ability to think on your feet.
•Ability to work well in a team and take on a variety of tasks to complete jobs.
•Self-starter, motivated, and able to solve problem independently.
•Must have a positive attitude and be willing to work long hours, including some Saturdays.
•Ability to work overtime when required.
Preferred Skills
•Previous experience in the sewer, storm water, or construction industries.
•Ability to operate and transport heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, or backhoes.
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
•Capable of performing physical tasks such as climbing, bending, lifting, and securing heavy loads.
•Comfortable working in various weather conditions and on active construction sites.
