Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. The Cashier will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately.

- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.

- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.

- Assist with merchandising efforts by restocking shelves and organizing products as needed.

- Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer experience.

- Upsell products during transactions to maximize sales opportunities.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring it is inviting for customers.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and provide support as needed.

- Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.

- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base.

- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately.

- Experience with stocking merchandise and maintaining inventory levels is beneficial.

- Supervising experience is an advantage for potential leadership opportunities within the store.
