We’re currently hiring a Carpenter to join our field team. This is a traveling position, supporting projects across the 34+ states where we operate. If you're committed to quality craftsmanship and take pride in building great things with a great team—let’s talk Zernco.
What You’ll Do:
•Construct, install, and repair commercial structures including doors, floors, walls, windows, cabinetry, roofs, stairways, and kitchen equipment
•Perform both rough and finish carpentry on commercial job sites
•Install drywall, insulation, tile, trim, siding, and other materials according to job specifications
•Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment including saws, drills, planers, joiners, sanders, and other power/hand tools
•Install locks, knobs, hinges, closures, and other door and window hardware
•Inspect and ensure all work meets building codes and Zernco’s quality standards
•Build and dismantle forms for concrete pours; erect and disassemble scaffolding, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures
•Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite daily—housekeeping is a shared team priority
•Load, unload, and identify building materials, delivering to appropriate work locations as directed
•Attend and actively participate in weekly safety meetings
•Perform work in compliance with all OSHA standards and jobsite safety protocols
•Report safety concerns or hazards to your Superintendent immediately
•Travel to job sites nationwide; Zernco commits to getting traveling team members home twice per month whenever possible

•You keep tools and materials maintained and work areas clean

What We’re Looking For:
•Willingness to travel nationwide up to 100%
•1–3 years of commercial carpentry experience (or equivalent training)
•OSHA 10 (or ability to complete within 60 days)
•Preferred: Forklift, bobcat, or lift certifications; CPR/First Aid certified
•Familiarity with commercial building codes, construction methods, and safety standards
•Physically capable of manually digging, dragging, pushing, pulling various materials and objects up to 50lbs
