Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Carpenter to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working 14/14 rotation.
This position is open to candidates who reside within 150 km of the McIlvenna Bay site or who can travel using our company shuttle from Saskatoon or Prince Albert. No additional travel subsidy is provided

As part of the site services team, the Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden and other structural components across the site. This includes work in both surface and underground environments, supporting safe and efficient operations in compliance with mine safety standards and site-specific procedures.
- Construct, install, and repair walls, floors, ceilings, stairs, doors, platforms, scaffolding, and safety structures.
- Build and maintain formwork and support structures for concrete pours.
- Repair and reinforce underground timber supports, cribbing, and ventilation structures.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine project requirements.
- Inspect worksites to assess material needs and ensure safe work conditions.
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment in accordance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other trades to support ongoing site operations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on site facilities, including living quarters, workshops, and storage buildings.
- Perform other carpentry or general site support duties as required.
- Journeyperson Carpenter certification or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
- 5+ years of carpentry experience (industrial, construction, or mining preferred).- Scaffolding ticket preferred.
- Familiarity with underground mining support systems is a strong asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and mine regulations.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Competitive Hourly Rate: $48.90/hr with an additional 10% annual bonus
