Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled reliable Carpenter/Handy Person to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential framing and finish carpentry, along with a strong ability to work on a variety of outdoor construction and maintenance projects. You'll be essential part of a crew that builds kit houses, structural overhang, decks, fences, and custom features that enhance both function and aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assemble and construct kit houses/cottages according to architectural plans and specifications

- Build decks, overhangs, pergolas, and other wood structures

- Install and repair landscape fencing and gates

- Execute custom carpentry and specialty projects bases on client needs

- Assist with utility construction tasks as needed (e.g., trenching, minor excavation, conduit placement)

- Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively

- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and instructions with minimal supervision

- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times

- Perform general handyman tasks such as siding repair, drywall patching, or hardware installations

- Collaborate with crew members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in carpentry, construction, or handyman work (minimum 2 years preferred)

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools

- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings

- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

- Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs

- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

- OSHA certification or willingness to obtain is a plus

- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
