Capillary Field/Shop Technician

What You Will Do:

- Assists shop on problem identification, trouble shooting, equipment issue resolution, and repair. Evaluates non-conforming products to determine appropriate requirements to rework, repair, or scrap items.

- Oversees spare parts inventory and may use a computerized maintenance management system.

- Coordinates and directs contractors for specialized repairs and installations; maintains good working relations with internal customers and contractors.

- Maintains toolkit, supplies, and requisite tool inventory.

- Conducts facility and equipment inspections as a part of the Emergency Response Procedures.

- Lead and implement Lean 5S + 1 project as a role model.

- May coach line employees on basic maintenance procedures.

- Know and comply with all safety policies and procedures.

- Utilize hand or power tools and heavy equipment, such as, forklift and pallet jack, in a safe, reliable manner.

- Develops good working relationships with CT operators and assist with spooling new TEC and Capillary tubing. Along with helping out with Capillary installs.

- Assist with inventory counts of current stock levels to identify potential shortages or excesses.

- Completes inspections, repairs of parts and routine maintenance on capillary trailers.

- Deliver parts to technicians on job sites

- Depending on field demand, may routinely perform field capillary spooling services. These services may include capillary string install or pull.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Must be age 21 or older to drive company vehicle.

- Valid driver's license in state of residence required.

- One or more years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.

Physical Demands: Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.

- The employee is regularly required to stand for the entire work day

- The employee regularly lifts and carries 50 lbs and carries up to 100 lbs with assistance

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

- The employee is regularly required to talk or hear

- The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to pick feel and/or inspect material. Employee would also reach with hands and arms.

- Repetitive bending, reaching, pulling, and lifting

- Pushing and pulling wheeled carts weighing up to 1000 lbs
