Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals / college students to join our mayoral campaign as Canvasser / Campaign Fellow. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of political campaigns, develop valuable skills, and contribute to an exciting election. Shashi Sinha is a political outsider seeking the Democratic nomination for mayor.

About the Position

You will play a crucial role in our grassroots efforts, helping to engage voters and build support for Shashi. You will work closely with campaign staff and volunteers, gaining firsthand experience in various aspects of campaign operations.

Position is short-term between now till June 24th.

Responsibilities

● Canvassing: Go door-to-door to engage with voters and distribute campaign materials.

● Phone Banking: Contact voters to share information about the campaign and gather support.

● Event Management: Assist with planning and executing campaign events, including town halls and fundraisers.

● Data Entry and Administrative Tasks: Entering and managing voter data via Votebuilder and Mobilize.

Qualifications

● Strong interest in politics and campaigning.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Reliable and punctual.

● Willingness to learn and take initiative.

● Ability to work evenings (between 4 pm and 8 pm) and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
