We are currently seeking Camp Kitchen Attendants for one of our remote Canadian project locations! Job Requirements:
You are team oriented, motivated, and have a high attention for details, accuracy, and can prioritize tasks. You will play a key role at one of our remote exploration camps by performing all primary responsibilities in a timely manner independently. This position reports to the Executive Chef.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures
- First cook of unsafe practices and unsafe environment
- Report all incidents and accidents immediately
- Practice good housekeeping in the work area at all times
- Participate in daily Toolbox meetings
- Perform dish washing as per Food Safety Plan
- Perform cleaning and sanitization of all surfaces, equipment and smallware's as per the camps' Food Safety Plan and Covid protocols
- Make sandwiches daily, as per directed menu plans, ensuring quality and freshness at all times
- Support food safe storage and labeling of potential food allergy items
- Ensure food storage areas are organized
- Participate in daily Toolbox meetings
- Wash and replace bed linens as required
- Clean and sanitize Dry Area
- Clean common spaces at work site, TV room, dining room, laundry room
- Minimum of two (2) years working in a remote camp as a Camp/Kitchen Attendant
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication skills
- Highly motivated, team-oriented individual with attention to detail
- Ability to work a rotational schedule
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Able to lift and move heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor
- Able to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 - 12 hour shift
