Job Title: CAD Draftsman – Commercial Millwork

We are a leading commercial millwork company specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of high-end architectural woodwork and casework for amenity spaces in high end residential, new construction towers. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Draftsman to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary:
The CAD Draftsman will be responsible for producing detailed shop drawings, elevations, sections, and other technical documents that support the fabrication and installation of custom millwork. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial millwork drafting and be proficient in AutoCAD, with additional experience in Chief Architect, Microvellum, and bSolid considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
•Create accurate, detailed, and timely shop drawings from architectural plans and field measurements.
•Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and shop personnel to ensure drawing accuracy and constructability.
•Translate design concepts into production-ready drawings for custom millwork fabrication.
•Review architectural plans and specifications to identify millwork requirements and project constraints.
•Revise drawings based on redlines, field changes, or client feedback.
•Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and company drafting protocols.
•Coordinate with CNC programmers and shop floor staff to facilitate efficient production.
•Maintain organized documentation and drawing files throughout project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
•Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
•3+ years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in a commercial millwork environment.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
•Experience with Chief Architect, Microvellum, and bSolid is a strong plus.
•Solid understanding of millwork materials, construction methods, and architectural terminology.
•Ability to interpret architectural blueprints and translate them into accurate shop drawings.
•Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
