Overview

Classic Construction is seeking a intermediate or highly skilled and experienced Cabinet Drafter to join our team. As a Cabinet Drafter, you will work full-time in an office environment, collaborating with our team to create detailed drawings and plans for various residential projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drafting softwares identified below and a strong understanding of cabinet design principles.

Key Responsibilities

•

Produce detailed drawings such as plans and interior elevations for custom built cabinets using softwares such as AutoCAD and Sketchup.

•

Collaborate with architects, interior designers, project managers and other team members to develop and refine design concepts.

•

Measure spaces on site and meet with clients.

•

Ensure all drawings and designs adhere to industry standards and building codes.

•

Review and analyze project specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of drawings.

•

Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and documentation.

•

Revise drawings based on feedback and project requirements.

•

Provide input and suggestions to improve design processes and project efficiency.

•

Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality work.

•

Responsible for ordering cabinet doors, drawers, drawer boxes, and cabinet accessories.

•

Request quotes for materials or additional products.

Qualifications

•

Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting and design.

•

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Sketchup Layout is mandatory.

•

Proficiency in other softwares such as Enscape or other rendering software.

•

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work.

•

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in an office environment.

•

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

•

A degree or certification in drafting, or a related field is preferred but not required.

•

Knowledge of the building process and construction techniques is preferred but not required.

•

Fluent in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
