About This Job

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team. The Buyer will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, from identifying supplier options to negotiating terms and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain processes, vendor relationships, and cost management.



Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Selection & Management: Research, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Maintain strong working relationships with current suppliers and identify new sources of supply.
Purchasing & Order Management: Place and manage purchase orders for goods and services, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Monitor inventory levels and ensure that purchases are made in a timely manner to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
Negotiation & Cost Control: Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve the best value. Work to secure favorable contract terms and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to resolve any quality-related issues that may arise.
Inventory Management: Work with the inventory team to track stock levels, review sales forecasts, and plan purchases accordingly. Monitor the performance of purchased goods and ensure proper inventory rotation.
Budget Management: Assist in preparing and managing the procurement budget, ensuring that all purchases are within budgetary guidelines and that any deviations are properly justified.
Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, new suppliers, and changes in the industry that could affect pricing or availability. Provide insights to management on opportunities and risks.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including order confirmations, invoices, and contracts. Provide regular reports to management on purchasing performance and savings.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Coordinate with various departments (e.g., sales, production, finance) to understand their needs and ensure the timely acquisition of materials and supplies.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure favorable terms.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Analytical mindset with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management.
Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.


Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred


Additional Qualifications (if any):

Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory purchasing requirements.
