JOB OVERVIEW


Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Business Process Specialist

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Organizational Effectiveness this position is responsible to develop, coordinate and improve policies and programs related to core business processes.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Direct process documentation and improvement programs to align with the strategic goals of the Business Unit.

Oversee the development and upkeep of business process methods and documentation, ensuring effective governance of process programs.
Act as a liaison with internal departments, divisions, customer groups, and stakeholders to support and enhance process and improvement initiatives.
Lead change management efforts by promoting employee empowerment and fostering a culture of openness and trust through effective communication and accessibility.
Organize and participate in critical reviews and audits of management and business processes, promoting improvement plans with active involvement from relevant teams.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills in business process analysis and improvement methods.



QUALIFICATIONS


4-Year University Degree in related field.
Over 8 years of experience in a similar role, showcasing a strong understanding of departmental interconnections and the capability to effectively advocate for and implement improvement initiatives across diverse departments and divisions.
Significant experience with systems and software, demonstrating the ability to identify and address the logical requirements necessary to achieve management's business process goals.
Demonstrated expertise in business process improvement, with knowledge of relevant policies, principles, methods, procedures, standards, and communication systems, complemented by experience in planning, organizing, and managing change for business enhancement and strategic programs.
This role will utlize knowledge of governance and related documents for all aspects of SMR facility business and operations.
This role will heavily involve coordination of deliverables from subject matter experts, support of digital software configuration, process flow development, document writing in digital formats, assessment of process efficiency compared to available benchmarks, regulatory licensing support and other activities supporting deployment of governance.
This role will utilize knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
