Graymont is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer based in Richmond, BC, to join a global team of IT professionals. Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Manager, this role is responsible for designing and delivering business intelligence reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing and expanding Graymont’s modern BI environment, built on a robust enterprise data warehouse. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand information requirements, design data solutions, and contribute to high-profile analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with end users and subject matter experts to identify, design, and deliver reports, dashboards, scorecards, and cubes that meet business analytics needs.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of reporting structures within the data warehouse and identify opportunities for new or enhanced data marts.

• Analyze business processes and recommend improvements through enhanced reporting systems and visual analytics.

• Support exploration and implementation of emerging technologies, including AI-based tools, to shape the future of analytics at Graymont.

• Provide end-user support and training to enhance data literacy and usage of BI tools across the organization.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered.

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a business intelligence or analytics development role, preferably using IBM Cognos Analytics.

• Required Technical Skills:

 Proficient with IBM Cognos Report Studio, Dashboard tools, and related BI technologies.

 Experience designing visually engaging and insightful reports and dashboards.

 Strong analytical and data exploration capabilities, with the ability to understand and solve complex business problems.

 SQL query skills and experience with OLAP cubes such as Cognos Transformer or PowerPlay are assets.

• Additional Assets:

 Exposure to Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar ERP data.

 Working knowledge of Cognos Transformer, Powerplay cubes (OLAP) or equivalent Business Intelligence OLAP/cube experience and SQL query skills.

The salary range for this position is $ 88,135 - $ 121,243 per year. The final offer will be determined based on a range of factors, including relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
