Role Overview:
The General Manager will be responsible for expanding the customer base, increasing revenue, and optimizing operations. This role requires a strong sales background, P&L management experience, and the ability to engage with high-end customers. The GM will directly oversee operations and sales team, while coordinating with contracts, inside sales, accounting team, and HR.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Sales Strategy:•Develop and execute growth initiatives to expand the branch’s market share.
•Partner with marketing to create targeted campaigns and coordinate AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) meetings.
•Lead monthly and quarterly sales projections and pipeline management.
•Oversee outside sales performance and drive collaboration with inside sales.
•Engage with clients to establish and maintain strong business relationships.
Financial & Operational Leadership:
•Manage P&L responsibilities (4 years of experience required).
•Review monthly budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
•Work with AR to improve cash flow
•Optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
•Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
•Lead and develop the sales and operations team to drive performance.
•Coordinate with contracts, inside sales, HR, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
•Foster a high-performance culture focused on results and accountability.
Qualifications:
•10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within the service, industrial services, HVAC, or utilities industries.
•Proven track record of growing a branch/business unit and driving revenue.
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Experience in P&L management (4 years) with a strong financial acumen.
•Ability to interact professionally with large-scale multi-site customers as well as high-end clients with custom needs for their unique systems
