The Business Development Sr - Gas will play a pivotal role in developing, leading and managing large scale and complex gas projects and/or programs for the organization. You will identify and estimate costs and make decisions regarding expenditures, developing opinions and sometimes challenging recommendations using supportive data. Strong collaboration skills and thorough understanding of commercial aspects of the energy industry are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
•Leads and manages large, complex projects or programs by developing strategy for project execution and managing resource requirements
•Negotiates transactions with support
•Develops innovative services, technologies, processes, or products that address current and future internal/external customer problems or needs
•Uses financial and quantitative information to identify, estimate and forecast contributors to cost, actions and performance; makes decisions regarding expenditures
•Conducts research and analysis to identify, evaluate, recommend, and pursue new growth opportunities that will augment existing business and expand the organization into other segments identified in the strategic plan; benchmarks post-transaction operating results and assists in development of acquisition long-range forecasts
•Creates strategies for the development of commercial acumen and knowledge; develops opinions and challenges recommendations on basin, customer and competitor intelligence based off third-party tools and publications
•Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
•Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field; minimum seven (7) years’ experience
•Preferred: Master’s degree in business; minimum ten (10) years’ experience
Other Requirements:
•Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
•Possesses knowledge of commercial aspects of the energy industry; and understands energy market fundamentals, trends, and economics across the industry including commodity pricing, basin market fundamentals and competitor strategies and actions
•Experience with asset development and/or commercial ventures
•Ability to negotiate transactions with support
•Understanding of deal structure, contract terms financial issues and other aspects of project development

Capable of interacting with customers at all levels within their organization and has an extensive range of knowledge regarding the natural gas business. Can negotiate transactions with supervision.
