Description
Thermcraft, a leading manufacturer of thermal processing equipment, is hiring a Business Development Representative who will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with current clients while seeking opportunities to expand our customer base. This role requires a proactive approach to account management, with responsibilities spanning client relationship management, solution selling, and customer support. This role offers a unique opportunity to cultivate strong relationships with manufacturing clients while driving innovation and expansion in the industrial sector. The position entails up to 25% travel to client sites or industry events as needed.
Location: Hybrid: 1x a quarter at Thermcraft, Winston-Salem, NC
Key Responsibilities
•Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
•New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories and industries.
•Consultative Selling: Understand customer needs and propose solutions that align with their thermal processing requirements.
•Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and customer service teams to effectively deliver solutions and resolve client issues.
•Account Strategy and Planning: Develop strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and meet company sales objectives.
•Reporting & CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and forecasted sales in the CRM system.
•Technical Expertise: Stay well-versed in Thermcraft’s innovative product range to effectively communicate our value proposition to clients.
Requirements
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
•Experience: 3+ years of account management or sales experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors.
Skills
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to understand technical specifications and apply consultative selling techniques.
•Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the ability to translate technical specifications into customer solutions.
•Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Motivated self-starter with a results-oriented approach.
