As an Account Representative specializing in drilling fluids, you will play a key role in driving growth and expanding our market presence in the industrial drilling markets.

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and promoting our drilling fluid solutions to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
The Account Representative position will be in the Eastern Canadian Provinces.
Employees need to be self-directed and work with little to no direct daily supervision or oversight.
Communication skills and working with end users is key to our success in maintaining and growing our current business.
Computer skills and providing daily reports to the drilling contractors is a must.
75% of the job will be in the field providing drilling fluids support on construction boring projects, water well drilling, infrastructure bores and exploration/drilling operations on active mine sites.
There will also be support i.e. training provided for industry trade shows, customer schools and if needed continuing education classes.
Attending, and doing presentations /continuing education credits, and manning booths at trade shows is required for the various industries, organizations and provincial agencies we provide our services and products too.
Managing and working closely with our distribution network in the region is expected along with attending and supporting open houses and other related sales functions.
Calls after normal business hours and on weekends are common.
Schedule will be largely determined by workload demand and the employee’s discretion but would rarely exceed more than a 10/4.

Baroid IDP’s typical markets and drilling disciplines served are minerals exploration including wireline coring, dual tube reverse circulation, de-watering, water well drilling including direct Mud rotary, reverse circulation, flooded reverse, direct air, horizontal directional and all manner of construction drilling including slurry wall, drilled shaft and tunnelling/micro-tunnelling, and geo-technical drilling including hollow stem auger, mud rotary, sonic, and conventional coring.

Working conditions will vary between heavily populated metropolitan cities, remote jobsites that may include occasional man-camp/helicopter supported work, with exposure to changing weather conditions and limited communication, throughout the year.
Driving will be a daily requirement along with overnight stays.
Compliance with the company driving policies, vehicle operation and maintenance requirements is a must.
Employee will need to obtain any jobsite required training for specific construction projects on government or provincial properties.
Company assigned training will also need to be maintained as required, including on-line training modules and weeklong sessions in person normally held in Houston Texas.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field.

Proven track record of success in business development or sales roles within the oil and gas industry, preferably in drilling fluids or related services.
Strong understanding of drilling operations, oilfield services, and industry regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
