to join our team as a Business Development Manager! The role involves collaborating with the regional Business Development Vice President, Business Development Managers, and Operations Teams to create client meetings and generate sales and business development opportunities. Key responsibilities include managing the sales pipeline, presenting weekly reports, and developing client relationships through innovative solutions. The position requires leading proposal development, and supporting strategic partnerships. Additionally, the role includes delivering internal feedback on market trends, supporting energy market assessments, developing creative solutions to complex problems, and working independently with high integrity and confidentiality.

+ Collaborate with regional Business Development and Operations teams to create client meetings and generate business development opportunities + Manage sales pipelines from discovery to implementation and present weekly reports to Regional BD Vice President and the Executive team + Bring a strong professional network in the energy space. Develop and maintain a network of corporate, industry, government, municipal, and community contacts to keep abreast of industry, client, and competitor activity + Work with cross-functional teams to refine program designs for Residential and C&I sectors, including hard-to-reach segments + Build relationships with clients, team partners, and community influencers inside and outside the firm. Meet with new/existing clients to discover and pursue new business opportunities + Lead and consult on the development of Demand Side Management (DSM), Demand Response (DR), Beneficial Electrification (BE) proposals and budgets with regional teams and Subject Matter Experts + Develop and present materials for client-facing interviews with Subject Matter Experts + Provide internal feedback on market trends, including client, competitor, and technology updates + Assess and engage in energy market opportunities, ensuring financial viability + Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support business development initiatives, including market entry strategies, RFP and Deal strategies, partnerships, and acquisitions
+ Minimum 6 years of work experience and 4 years of experience in business development + Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related discipline + Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences + Excellent skills with digital systems including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and other proposal writing tools + Experience with business development, proposal development and CRM automation software and emerging digital tools + Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align market development initiatives with overall business objectives + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies
