Business Development Manager – Gulf Coast Region
Full-Time | Remote – Based in Greater Houston, TX / Gulf Coast Region
ATEC Steel is looking for a driven, well-connected Business Development Manager to grow and represent our presence across the Gulf Coast. This role supports both our API 650 / API 620 New Tank and API 653 Maintenance & Repair divisions, and is ideal for someone with strong industry ties who can confidently represent ATEC with customers in the field.
What You’ll Do
•Pursue new project opportunities and client relationships throughout the Gulf Coast
•Maintain and grow existing customer connections in the region
•Support estimates, bid follow-up, and contract discussions
•Travel regularly to customer offices, bid walks, and trade shows
•Track leads, activity, and customer communications in our CRM
What We’re Looking For
•Background in business development, outside sales, or related project roles in oil & gas
•Strong network in the aboveground storage tank industry
•Confident in customer-facing meetings and presentations
•Independent, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely
•Based in Greater Houston with ability to travel regionally
•Familiarity with API 650, API 653, AWWA, or ASME codes is a plus
•Bachelor’s degree preferred
•Polished professional who understands how to navigate complex sales cycles, build trust with decision-makers, and represent our company with credibility in the field
