Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and growth-driven Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of our landscape company’s client base and revenue streams. This role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sustained growth through strategic planning, partnerships, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the landscaping industry and a proven track record in business development and account growth.
Core Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales Strategy:
•Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and municipal landscaping sectors.
•Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed company growth targets and revenue goals.
•Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, industry partners, general contractors, property managers, and developers.
Client Relationship Management:
•Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
•Conduct client needs assessments and offer tailored landscaping solutions to meet or exceed expectations.
•Proactively manage and resolve client concerns, ensuring continued satisfaction and loyalty.
Market Research & Opportunity Analysis:
•Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, new customer segments, and competitive positioning.
•Analyze client data, industry reports, and economic trends to identify areas for business expansion.
Proposal & Contract Management:
•Oversee the preparation of customized proposals, estimates, and contracts in collaboration with estimators and project managers.
•Negotiate and close deals that align with company goals and profitability standards.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
•Work closely with the operations, design, and project management teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and project execution.
•Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and collateral to support lead generation and branding.
CRM & Pipeline Management:
•Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline using a CRM system to track prospects, leads, proposals, and conversions.
•Ensure timely follow-up and communication with all leads and opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
•3+ years of proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the landscaping or construction industry.
•Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
•Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Knowledge of landscape services, horticulture, or property maintenance is highly preferred.
•Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client meetings and site visits.
