Provide efficient and skillful administrative and office management support to the Division of Business and Finance. This position provides technical assistance district-wide on finance procedures to ensure alignment with district policies and the strategic plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Performs general administrative duties such as but are not limited to answering phones, welcoming and assisting vendors, ordering and maintaining supplies, preparing board items and other department documents.
•Maintain and track purchase orders and complete related documentation such as contacts, service agreements and board items.
•Assist the Chief Financial Officer in a variety of business functions supporting the departments of Accounting, Benefits, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Budget, Purchasing and Business Services.
•Prepare requisitions for purchases and maintain records of expenditures.
•Organize and prioritize assigned work and develop office procedures to support efficient workflow.
•Develop, oversee and support implementation of various projects in finance.
•Train district staff on business and finance procedures including time clock processes and requisition approvals in the LINQ financial system.
•Make presentations to district staff on business and finance policies.
•Maintain the Business and Finance procedures manual.
•Ability to independently coordinate and implement large-scale projects with precision and high-level quality service.
•Process all travel requests for Business and Finance.
•To work collaboratively with other departments in the development and implementation of new initiatives.
•Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
•Knowledge and experience in budget and payroll tracking
•Knowledge of office equipment including copiers, fax machine
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
•Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing with school district personnel and constituency.
•Demonstrated ability to work with others as a team player to achieve goals set by strategic plan.
