Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Bulldozer Operator to join our team and contribute to our solar array projects. In this role, you will operate a bulldozer to excavate, clear, and level ground to provide a rough grade finish of site terrain in support of other construction activities.
This exciting job opportunity is currently available in Temple, Texas. Each project will last 12 to 18 months. The ability to travel to different projects every 12 to 18 months is essential for long-term employment.
Responsibilities:
•Operate bulldozer to perform excavation, clearing, and ground leveling, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
•Inspect equipment before and after use, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
•Collaborate with managers and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
•Maintain accurate records of work performed during bulldozing operations.
•Monitor environmental conditions and adjust operations accordingly to ensure safety and efficiency.
•Train and mentor junior operators on best practices and safety protocols.
•Display good organization, communication, and people skills.
•Contribute to the overall success of the project by being a team player and maintaining a positive and professional attitude while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
•Work extended hours as required, with single shifts lasting as long as 12 hours.
•Work weekly overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
•Operate hand tools and power tools as required.
•Operate other machinery as requested i.e., skid steers, telehandlers, excavators, trenchers, etc.
•Perform other duties as assigned or requested, including manual labor, when not operating machinery.
Required Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or GED
•Proven experience operating bulldozers in a construction or infrastructure setting.
•Strong understanding of safety regulations and equipment operation, including navigation of challenging terrain and weather conditions.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
•Valid operator’s license and any necessary certifications for operating heavy machinery.
•Have reliable transportation to get you to work on time daily.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with GPS and automated grading systems.
•Knowledge of operating other heavy equipment.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
