Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building and Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities and machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of both building systems and industrial equipment. The technician will be responsible for performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Ensure that all machinery and overhead hoists are functioning properly

- Ensures that all forklifts are properly maintained

- Knows and understands ALL safety rules and precautions necessary for accessing a shop floor industrial work environment

- Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area

- Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines

- Willingness to multi-task and cross train on tasks as needed

- Must have a clean driving record

- Other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related field is preferred.

- Proven experience in building maintenance, machine repair, or a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment.

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required for the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
