Job Summary: The Brake Operator role includes performing setup and forming functions in support of production requirements in a multi-shift operation. Review assigned daily work schedules and organize forming orders for the shift.
Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents, load, install and complete set ups required for work orders.
Ensuring the quality of production parts by checking the technical accuracy of own work using the FAI (First Article Inspection ) process.
Account for time and work completed, entering data into the MRP data collection system.
At the end of each shift, review ERP actual work hours logged by work order for accuracy and completeness, address any errors.
Work with the Quality and Engineering departments to address non conformances (NCR’s).
Ensure maintenance of break equipment and work areas in accordance with company standards and manufacturers machine preventative maintenance requirements and schedules.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health and safety practices and internal company policies.
Perform or assist in other assigned duties as qualified and/or assigned.
Sound Knowledge of general metal forming and fabrication technical processes, equipment, and production workflows.
Ability to read, understand, and follow workorder specifications, drawings, work instructions, and procedures.
Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of hydraulic presses operations.
Competent at dimensional measuring and able to use precision measurement tools.
Possess an analytical approach to problem solving and developing creative solutions to technical production issues.
Demonstrates a professional approach to all aspects of the role.
High school diploma and formal technical training or 5 years work experience in break press operations.
