We are looking for a Brake Press Operator to work in our busy sheet metal production shop in Calgary! This is a full-time permanent position, with lots of opportunities for overtime. If you are mechanically inclined and looking to join a safety conscious team, apply today!
- Monitoring and maintaining warehouse equipment and machinery
- Prepare, set up, and operate metalworking machinery or equipment.
- Operate machinery or equipment to cut, bend, or crease metal parts.
- Inspect products for conformity to shape, size, or other standards.
- Investigate the cause of problems and make minor repairs.
- Clean and lubricate machinery and replace defective parts as needs
- Setting up manufacturing equipment
- Read and/or follow verbal instructions.
- Completes daily housekeeping in assigned area.
- Completes daily inspections of machinery
- Ensures quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing product.
- Previous work experience as a machine or equipment operator
- Familiarity with Brake Press machine an asset
- Mechanically inclined and able to perform general maintenance on equipment
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly and effectively
- Rigging and Overhead Crane experience an asset
- Forklift certification an asset
- Ability to use measurement tools
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commitment to safety
- Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation.
- Must have CSA approved safety boots.
- Overtime required as needed
