Bore Crew Laborer

Bay Line Construction, LLC is seeking to hire a Bore Crew Laborer in Georgetown, Delaware and surrounding areas.

General Responsibilities:

· Responsible for daily maintenance on truck and boring machine.

· Adhere to manufacturer provided safety operational procedures and industry safety standards.

· Operate the drill and provide assistance to coworkers.

· Perform routine labor as required.

· Drive tow vehicle with drill to the job-site.

· Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment, materials and supplies needed for daily work.

· Hand dig with shovels, picks, digging bars to expose located utilities, access U/G vaults and pedestals, and complete trenches.

· Fully restore worksites at completion of work, refill trenches and holes, tamp soil, replant any plants or shrubs that were disturbed during our construction, place temporary asphalt patches on streets where excavations have been performed.

· Clean and maintain all company vehicles, tools and equipment assigned for use

· When assisting Overhead Crews, Laborers may be required to perform groundman operations such as: hand line operation, organizing materials, cleaning worksite, etc.

· Other duties may be assigned consistent with job description

Qualifications

- Hold a valid CDL (Commercial Drivers License).

- Clean driving record

- Drug test confirmation

- Field experience

- Prior experience operating drilling equipment preferred and must work well with others and participate on a crew.

- Must understand utility locate law and compliance procedures.

Physical Qualifications

- The employee is required to sit; frequently climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl.

- This employee must frequently lift and/or maneuver up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or maneuver up to 75 pounds.

- Work is primarily performed outdoors so physical exposure to often extreme weather conditions, animals and insects and other outdoor hazards is unavoidable and required

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Salary & Benefits

- This is an hourly position with overtime opportunities.

· Pay: $19.00- $27.00 per hour

- Overtime will be paid at either time and half or double time depending on the applicable scenario.
