Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BOP Technician and Accumulator Technician to join our team. These roles involve performing tasks such as disassembly, assembly, repair, and installation of equipment while ensuring all components meet the required specifications. Whether working on Blowout Preventer (BOP) equipment or Control systems/Accumulators, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety, quality, and operational standards of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
•Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to perform tasks accurately.
•Update the job order checklists consistently as tasks are completed.
•Prepare equipment for inspections and testing.
•Perform assembly and disassembly of equipment based on training, procedures, and process control documents.
•Conduct inspections and testing of equipment to ensure functionality and compliance.
•Paint equipment in accordance with procedures and process control documentation.
•Perform preventive maintenance and calibration activities as assigned, adhering to company procedures.
•Communicate operational concerns, including quality and safety issues, to the Foreman.
•Initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs) to address process control or product quality issues.
•Review documentation for accuracy and notify supervisors of any required updates.
Qualifications and Skills:
•Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing or service workshop, preferably in the oil and gas industry is preferred, however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
•At least one year of experience reading technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints (preferred but not mandatory)
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•An apprenticeship or journeyperson certification in applicable trades are considered an asset.
