SSR Mining Cripple Creek & Victor seeks a Blaster Operator who will be responsible for the safe and reliable blasting operations including priming, loading, tying in, stemming and detonation activities. Come bring your blasting skills to SSR Mining Cripple Creek & Victor.
- Lead by example, in all SSR Mining- Cripple Creek & Victor safety processes, ensuring complete safe practices and environmental compliance.
- Establish safe blasting perimeter according to company policy.
- Safely prime, load, stem, tie in and guard patterns according to blast design.
- Ability to detonate blast pattern using electronic and nonel initiation equipment.
- Transport blasting agents throughout SSR Mining Cripple Creek and Victor property in accordance with company policy.
- Accurately maintain inventory logs on a daily basis or as necessary.
- Attend, participate and conduct daily/monthly safety and QA/QC meetings

- Previous blasting and/or mining experience desired but not required.
- Applicants must have a willingness to work wherever needed to ensure the success of SSR Mining Cripple Creek & Victor including night, rotating and/or weekend shifts as well as being able to maintain safe and adequate work surroundings that are in compliance with our environmental policies and procedures.
- Must meet requirements of all State and Federal explosive laws (possessor of explosives - as defined by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives BATFE).
- The Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position are routinely exposed to conditions at various work sites throughout this range of elevations and must be physically capable of working at this altitude.
- Weather conditions can and do change frequently and can become severe at times.
- Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions/elevation.

For applicants residing in CO, the hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the range of the hourly rate is $31.93(Tech 1) – $46.36 (Tech 6).
