Summary:
The EPC Bid Manager II will coordinate and produce the proposal (RFI, RFP, etc.) response whilst collaborating with contractors and assembling the required proposal team with the relevant service/product/business knowledge required to submit an accurate, competitive bid. Reporting to the Sr. EPC Bid Manager, the responsibilities of the EPC Bid Manager II will manage all aspects of the proposal’s life cycle from its initial review through to supporting potential contract negotiations.
This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to meet challenging deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes
•Lead the bid process from RFP/RFI receipt through to submission and handoff to project management with a focus on high-quality, profitable construction that meets/exceeds client requirements
•Review all RFP/RFI data room material and disperse accordingly
•Managing production, distribution, and control of documents
•Coordinate and review/edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, engineering, construction, finance, legal, and procurement
•Prepare RFPs to potential contractors, receive proposals, and prepare price analysis / bid tabs
•Manage and facilitate discussions with internal and external parties regarding RFP responses/proposal development
•Work closely with the Estimating team and the Front-End team to ensure accuracy and competitiveness of pricing information and scope for bids
•Work closely with the Subcontracts buyout team and Strata self-perform teams to forecast upcoming projects and develop strategies to support new business
•Work extensively with other departments, providing support, data, and helping to drive improved processes
•Work closely with the Subcontracts and Project Management teams to share information regarding latest developments, learn and adapt best strategies to the benefit of upcoming bids
•Develop cost reduction solutions through creative problem solving that would create efficiencies
•Track KPIs to evaluate contractor feedback as well as potential market conditions
•Actively participating in the development of new solutions and proposal ideas
•Communicate technical and commercial information related to RFPs/RFIs clearly and cogently to key decision makers

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in related field
•3+ years of hands-on proposal management experience within the solar industry, preferably within the utility scale market
•Renewable Energy, Power Plant, and/or EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) experience is a plus
•In-depth knowledge of how to analyze a solicitation and structure a proposal to be compliant, responsive and competitive
•Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people who possess a variety of skills, experience, and personalities
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect high-level information into details and communicate the results effectively to the target audience(s)
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and time management
Interest in learning and a willingness to ask questions
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment and in the field.
